Electrical Distribution
NLS Power supplies LV and MV switchgear, motor control centres, main and sub distribution boards, busway, circuit breakers, metering and earthing equipment for Saudi projects, built to IEC 61439 type tested designs with the short circuit ratings the system study calls for.
Distribution equipment is where a project's electrical design becomes physical. The single line diagram sets the architecture, but the assembly that arrives on site has to match it in ratings, form of separation, protection coordination and physical space, and a mismatch found at installation is expensive.
Type testing is the first thing to check. IEC 61439 assemblies are verified as designs rather than assembled from components that individually carry certificates. That distinction matters because the tested performance covers temperature rise, short circuit withstand and arc behaviour of the whole assembly.
Short circuit rating comes from the system study, not from habit. The fault level at the board depends on the transformer, the supply impedance and any generation running in parallel, and specifying a board below the prospective fault current is a safety problem rather than a commercial one.
Form of separation decides how much of the board can be worked on live and how a fault propagates internally. Higher forms cost more and are chosen for a reason, usually maintenance access on a facility that cannot be shut down.
Busway earns its place in tall buildings and plants where load will change. Adding a tap off to a busway riser is straightforward compared with pulling new cables through a full building, which is why it appears in commercial towers and flexible industrial layouts.
NLS Power supplies LV and MV switchgear, motor control centres, main and sub distribution boards, busway, ACBs and MCCBs, panel meters, current transformers, cable trays and earthing and lightning protection.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does IEC 61439 type tested mean?+
The assembly design has been verified as a whole for temperature rise, short circuit withstand and other performance, rather than assembled from separately certified parts. It is the difference between a verified design and a collection of approved components.
How is the short circuit rating decided?+
From the prospective fault current at that point in the system, which depends on the transformer rating, supply impedance and any parallel generation. It comes out of the system study, and the board must meet or exceed it.
When is busway better than cable?+
In risers and plants where load is likely to change. Tap offs can be added or moved without pulling new cable, which makes future capacity changes far cheaper.
