EV Charging

NLS Power sources and supplies EV charging equipment for Saudi projects: AC wallboxes, DC fast and ultra fast chargers, load management systems, OCPP management software, cable assemblies and fleet depot equipment, specified so the charging load does not force an upgrade of the incoming supply.

EV charging in Saudi Arabia has moved from pilot projects to a standard line item on commercial, hospitality and government developments, pushed by Vision 2030 targets and by tenants who now expect it.

The technical decision is usually simpler than it looks. AC wallboxes suit places where vehicles sit for hours: offices, hotels, residential compounds and long stay parking. DC fast chargers suit places where dwell time is short: retail, highway locations and fleet depots turning vehicles around. Ultra fast units serve highway and commercial charging hubs where throughput is the business model.

Connectors follow IEC 62196, with Type 2 for AC and CCS2 for DC being the practical default in this market, and back end communication runs over OCPP so hardware and management software are not locked to one vendor.

The real constraint is almost always the incoming supply. Six chargers at full rating can exceed the spare capacity of an existing building, and the instinctive answer is an expensive supply upgrade. Load management is usually the better answer: available capacity is shared dynamically across the chargers, so more units can be installed within the existing connection and vehicles still charge, just at a shared rate during peaks.

Cable routes and spare ways cost very little to provide during construction and a great deal to retrofit into a finished parking structure, which is the strongest argument for deciding this early.

NLS Power sources and supplies AC wallboxes, DC fast and ultra fast chargers, load management, management software, cable assemblies, fleet depot equipment and solar coupled charging.

AC Wallbox Chargers

AC Wallbox Chargers

AC wallbox chargers deliver 7 to 22kW of alternating current through an IEC 62196 Type 2 connector, sized for vehicles that sit parked for hours rather than minutes. NLS Power sources and supplies AC wallboxes for offices, hotels, residential compounds and long-stay parking across Saudi Arabia, specified with the load management a site's incoming supply can actually support.

DC Fast Chargers

DC Fast Chargers

DC fast chargers convert AC to DC inside the unit and feed the vehicle battery directly through a CCS2 connector, cutting charge time to 20 to 60 minutes instead of hours. NLS Power sources and supplies DC fast chargers from 30kW to 180kW for retail, highway and fleet-turnaround sites across Saudi Arabia, sized to the site's available electrical supply.

Ultra-Fast Charging Stations

Ultra-Fast Charging Stations

Ultra-fast charging stations push 180kW to 400kW per connector through a CCS2 interface, cutting a meaningful charge to 10 to 20 minutes for compatible vehicles. NLS Power sources and supplies ultra-fast charging hubs for highway corridors and high-throughput commercial sites in Saudi Arabia, where the grid connection sets the real project cost more than the charger itself.

EV Charging Load Management

EV Charging Load Management

EV charging load management shares a site's fixed electrical supply dynamically across whichever chargers are plugged in, rather than sizing for every charger at full power together. NLS Power sources and supplies load management controllers for wallbox and DC installs across Saudi Arabia, usually the difference between fitting EV charging into an existing supply and paying for an SEC upgrade.

EV Charging Management Software

EV Charging Management Software

EV charging management software runs on the OCPP protocol to monitor, control and bill charge points remotely, from a single wallbox to a multi-site network, independent of hardware brand. NLS Power sources and supplies OCPP-compliant back-end platforms alongside its charging hardware for Saudi projects that need remote monitoring, access control or usage billing.

EV Charger Cable Assemblies

EV Charger Cable Assemblies

EV charger cable assemblies are the tethered charging cable and connector, IEC 62196 Type 2 for AC or CCS2 for DC, engineered for the flex cycles, current rating and outdoor exposure a public charge point sees over years of daily use. NLS Power sources and supplies replacement and OEM cable assemblies for AC and DC chargers installed across Saudi Arabia.

Fleet Charging Depots

Fleet Charging Depots

A fleet charging depot is a purpose-built site where a company's own vehicles charge overnight or between shifts, combining multiple AC or DC chargers, load management and often a dedicated MV supply for simultaneous charging. NLS Power sources and supplies fleet depot charging equipment across Saudi Arabia, scoped to the vehicle count, dwell time and route schedule the operator runs.

Solar EV Charging

Solar EV Charging

Solar EV charging pairs a rooftop or carport PV array with charge points, either offsetting grid draw during daylight hours or, with battery storage added, extending that offset into the evening. NLS Power sources and supplies solar-integrated EV charging systems for Saudi Arabia's high solar-irradiance climate, sized against the site's parking footprint and typical charging demand profile.

Frequently Asked Questions

AC or DC chargers for a shopping mall?+

Mostly DC fast chargers, because dwell time is short and throughput matters. A few AC units suit staff and long stay bays, and the mix is decided by expected dwell time rather than by headline power.

Will adding chargers require a supply upgrade?+

Not necessarily. Load management shares the available capacity across the chargers dynamically, which usually allows several units within the existing connection instead of paying for a new supply.

What does OCPP compatibility give me?+

It keeps the hardware and the management platform independent, so chargers from different manufacturers can run on one back end and you are not locked into a single vendor's software.
